$21 later and it works much better. From the dealer, so it’s probably the same soft blanks. But I did get a GM key and a generic one. Also have me key code so I can get at a key shop next time.
The guy beside me was contemplating what tires to buy. It was driving me nuts.

Did they give you the new type with the hole instead of the slot?

I’m surprised these ones weren’t part of the recall, even the Rendezvous/Aztek wasn’t. But they all use the exact same key design.

Yeah it was getting real bad with that old key. I pulled into work recently, with my carabiner attached and leaned the seat back and my knees turned the car off.
Dang. I try to keep just the fob on there when driving around.
